Sharon (Block) Heugel,
of Greenfield, IN, passed away on October 17, 2016 at the age of 70. Sharon was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 26, 1945 to the late, Matthew A. and Beatrice E. (Dickmann) Block. She graduated from Bay View High School. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and her master’s degree from Ball State University. Sharon worked for American Motors until they closed and then moved on to work for the Chrysler Corporation in New Castle, IN, where she worked for 30 years.
Sharon was an avid golfer and dedicated Packers fan, she enjoyed fishing, antique cars, and traveling with her husband in their RV. One of her best trips was to Alaska, where she caught a king salmon. She also enjoyed wintering in Florida at their home in Okeechobee.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Beatrice; brothers: Bobby, David and Raymond; and her sister, Betty.
Sharon leaves behind her husband of 20 Years, Lawrence D. “Larry” Heugel and her two special friends… her dogs, Abby and Thunder. She is also survived by her step-daughters, Lori Ehlin (Rick) and Chris Clark (Jason); grandchildren: Audrey, Calvin, Lauren, Jared and Cameron; three nieces: Janine Holt, Lisa Knobloch, and Teri Lynn Fisher; nephew, Stephen Block; and a great niece, Brooke Knobloch.
Friends may call from 5-8pm on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indpls. Additional calling will be held there on Friday, October 21st from 12 Noon until 1pm, her services will immediately follow at 1pm. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
