Sharon 'Sherry' Meyer

Sharon “Sherry” Sue Meyer 66, passed away May 28, at IU Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. She was born April 10, 1945 to the late Grover and Virginia (Ahern) Grabbe. Sherry is survived by children, Donna (Tom) Riddle, Mark (Dawn ) Meyer, Cathy (Jeff) Uhls; brother Terry (Bernie) Grabbe; grandchildren, Misty, Merissa, Matt, Jacquelyn, Tyler, Kyle, Kris, J.T., Evan, Derreck, Chance and great grandchild, Nevin Sherry worked as a clerk in the accounting department at Fort Harrison Financial Center. She was very active in the Eastern Star. She was a member of Garfield Park United Church of Christ where she sang in the choir. She was also active with the Redhat Society and the Euchre Card Club. She was a volunteer firefighter, EMT and 911 dispatcher for Fort Harrison and a Red Cross CPR instructor. Sherry loved camping. Friends may visit Wednesday June 1 from 4:00- 7:00PM at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington. A service will follow at 7:00PM. Enternment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery at a later date.
