Sharon Roberson Bedwell

August 17, 1935 — November 9, 2011

Sharon Rose Roberson Bedwell "NAN" was born August 17, 1935 to Rufus and Victoria (Lofton) Roberson in Eckerty, Indiana. She was the 2nd of 6 children and the oldest daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harold "Penny" Roberson and Larry Roberson, and her husband Richard N. Bedwell. She is survived by her daughters, Anita (Larry) Dust, and Kayla Stone as well as grandchildren who she adored, Jessica Dust, Neil (Karina) Quigley, Scott (Katie) Dust, David Quigley, Blair (Kayla) Stone and Michelle Stone as well as her sister LaDonna (Gene) Voyles, brother Garrell (Carol) Roberson, brother John (Diane) Roberson and 3 nieces, 5 nephews and a godson. She retired from Ford Motor Company, Indianapolis Plant as the Time Keeping Supervisor in 1987 after 27 years of service. After retirement, she worked part time (for fun) at St. Jude's After School Care where all the children loved her. She loved adventure and travel and truly enjoyed playing cards with friends. She would say, "Anyone who thinks women are the weaker sex, never played cards with me." She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM, Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center-10722 East Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday at the funeral center. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org), 50 East 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
