Sharon Rose Murphy

Sharon Rose Murphy, 74, of Catawba County, North Carolina, passed away December 11, 2025. Sharon was born in Indianapolis, IN on March 22, 1951, to Harold Canada and Florence Butler-Manning.

Sharon worked as a medical assistant for 22 years, retiring in 2002. She spent her retirement enjoying her grandchildren and her yorkie, Miss Lilly who she was inseparable with.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Richard Murphy, parents Harold Canada and Florence Butler Manning, sisters Barbara Miles, Arlene Barnd, brothers Allen Garner, Danny Garner.

 She is survived by children Marla Murphy-Ingle (Steven), NC, Michael Murphy (Kathleen), FL. Grandchildren Brittney Murphy, TX, Jordan Murphy (Mackenzy), IN and Kyle Murphy (Nicolette), KY and great grandchild Brynlee Murphy, KY. Brother Ronald Anderson, IN, Jackie Murphy (Ellen)IN. Along with, stepmother Gladys Clouse Canada, IN, Stepsiblings Carlos Canada, Costa Rica, Ronald Suits, IN, Deborah Kee, IN Tamara Higgens, IN. Several Nieces and Nephews, along with their children and grandchildren

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 11am-1pm at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East Funeral Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carolina Caring Hospice and Palliative Care of Newton, NC. Dementia Alliance of North Carolina.
