Sharon Ann Lucas, age 82, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026. She was born on June 20, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a proud graduate of Pike High, class of 1962. Sharon held the friendships she made through the alumni association close to her heart. She was enthralled by genealogy and learning more about her family history.
Sharon retired as a lieutenant case manager for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She loved the sandy white beaches in Destin and cooking delicious family recipes for her family. She enjoyed decorating her home with a curated selection of furniture and art, adding her personal flair to every room.
Sharon would turn any little phrase she'd say into her own song, which she always thought was clever. She loved getting to know a perfect stranger, and anyone who met her understood she had a big and bright personality.
Most importantly, Sharon had a big heart and a kind soul. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother!
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Nida (Abell) Lucas and Leo Lucas, and her grandson, Brock Shaw.
Sharon is survived by her children, Kristina Bradish and Glenn Shaw; her grandchildren, Hannah (Shaw) Whitten (and her grandson-in-law, Travis Whitten), Allison Bradish, and Casey Bradish (and her granddaughter-in-law, Amanda Bradish); her great-grandson, Zander Whitten; her brother, Bryant “Bud" Lucas; and her nephew and niece, Jeffrey Lucas and Julie Lucas.
