Sharon Kay Woods

Sharon Kay Woods, 64, of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord March 24, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born June 2, 1947 in New Castle, Indiana to Cleveland and Mary (Pryor) Kent, who preceded her in death. Sharon was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was employed at Indianapolis International Airport in the housekeeping department for over 20 years and had many wonderful friends there. She enjoyed games like scrabble, solitaire, and mahjong and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Roger; son: Ronnie Woods, Sr.; 3 grandchildren; Brittany Lynn Woods, Ronnie Woods, Jr., and Evan Tyler Woods; sisters: Debbie J. Kent and Carolyn S.(Mel) Norris, nephew Brian Baker (Maya), nieces Dawn Clem (Charlie), Bobbi Tecua (Pedro),Beth Baker and Melissa Davenport (Bryon) and many great nieces and nephews and 1 great great nephew and 1 great great niece. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel R. Woods and sister, Mary C. Noland. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street ,a short graveside service will follow.
