Sharon Ann Waller

Sharon Ann Schils Waller, 83, of Indianapolis, IN passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Sharon was born on July 12, 1938 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Sharon grew up in Sheboygan and graduated from North High School. A few years later she met the love of her life, David, while he was stationed at Camp Haven located in her hometown. Sharon was an exceptional Mother and homemaker, helping to raise their 4 children in various locations determined by David’s honorable and committed loyalty to the United States Army. The family settled in Indianapolis in 1971.

Sharon worked for Hook’s Drug Stores in the Accounts Receivable Department for over 20 years; of which later she retired. Sharon was known to be an involved community member. Including past President of the NCO Wives Club in Aberdeen, Maryland, and past President of ABWA-Charter Chapter in Indianapolis.

Her caring nature, beauty, and giving spirit was evident in everything that she did.

Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband, David and son, Jeffery. She will forever be cherished by her surviving children, Scott Waller of Indianapolis, Lori Waller Worpell (Scott) of McCordsville, and Cindy Akers (Gene) of Fortville.

Her greatest joy was found in spending time with family. Her grandchildren included, Corrie, Lindsay, Trevor, Brandy, Tonya, Brittany, Morrison, Sharilyn, Benjamin, and Hanna. Great grandchildren, Braden, Jordan, Miles, Jackson, Greyson, Camille, Cyrus, Degan, Rivers, A.J., Alex, Eleanor, River, Louie, and Emma. Sharon also has 4 surviving Sisters.

Please join us as we celebrate Sharon’s life and legacy on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East.  All family is welcome to gather from 11am-12pm, with public visitation from 12-2pm and a funeral service immediately following.  Sharon will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests for memorial contributions to be made in her name to the American Cancer Society in memory of her beloved husband, David and son, Jeffery.
