Seymour Levy
90, of Indianapolis, Passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 with his loving wife and family by his side. He was a WW II, United States Army Veteran and a member of the Delphi American Legion Post. Seymour had also served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of Prospect Lodge #714 and 32 degree Mason. He was also a member of the Shrine. Mr. Levy was a railroad conductor, having started with the New York Central Railroad which became Penn Central, and then Conrail, where he retired after 38 years. He was a Rail Road Inspector in the 1950's and was an officer with the UTU for 50 years. He was a member of the Railroad Club. Seymour was also a Yellow Shirt at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a number of years. He was active in Indianapolis politics having served as precinct committee man for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Stambaugh) Levy; his daughters, Sandra Malott Burger and her husband Ronald, Debbie Gryszowka and her husband David and Lisa Fallon and her husband Brianh; grandchildren, Matthew Gryszowka and his wife Kasey, Andrew Gryszowka and his wife Eva, Katelyn Fallon, Matthew Burger and his wife Erin and Jacob Burger and his wife Lisa; great-grandchildren, Cole and Henry Burger, Grayson Gryszowka, Brittany, Breanna, Caitlyn and Hailey Jones; nieces and nephews, Janet, Mike, Phil and David; and dearest friends, Jim and Toni Arnett .
A Memorial Service will be held, 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
