Selma E. Gies

Selma E. Gies, 90, Fishers, passed away Tuesday April 24, 2018. She was born November 30, 1927 in Covington, KY to the late Samuel H. and Jewell C. (Winkle) Corman. Selma was married to the late George W. Gies. She was an accomplished artist who enjoyed painting. Selma was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Selma is survived by her children, Marcia (Don) Montgomery, Mark (Maryellen) Gies, Scott Gies, and Nancy (John) Lich; grandchildren, Brian (Christin) Gies, Travis Montgomery, John (Alissa) Lich, and Spencer Lich; great grandchild, Jaxson Gies; and brother, Stephen (Sandy) Corman. She is preceded in passing by her mother and father.

A service will be held on Friday April 27, 2018 at 2:30pm at Our Lady of Peace Chapel, 9001 Haverstick Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
