Sean William Gleason

Sean William Gleason, 28 of Carmel, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017. Sean was born May 28, 1989 in Atlanta, GA. He is survived by his mother, Linda J. Kesling; father, William M. Gleason; brothers, Jordan M. Gleason (Katherine) and Adam K. Gleason (Mandy); grandparents, Helen and Charley Hendricks and David L Kesling; aunts and uncles, Jeff Kesling (Kathy), Janet Kesling, Sandra Waldron, John Kesling, Janet M. Schmidt (Charles) and Anita L. Gallen (Michael) and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William L. and Janet T. Gleason.

Sean grew up in Carmel, Indiana and attended both Carmel and Guerin Catholic High Schools. He had a happy childhood and can be best remembered by his smile and sense of humor. He enjoyed working with his hands and excelled at woodworking classes. Sean graduated from Guerin Catholic High School in June, 2008. Much like the fictional character Tony Stark, he left college to join the defense contracting business. Sean went on multiple key trips to army bases to test and demo his projects.

When Sean wasn’t putting in long hours as a flight crew lead and system tester for a defense contracting company, he could be found hiking, skiing, and playing golf in Colorado and surrounding himself with his three standard poodles, Sassy, Mia, and Claire, which he raised from pups. He loved his dogs and would often be found carrying them around the house, even though they weren’t lap dogs. They brought him immense joy and comfort. Sean was a huge car fan, once buying and stripping out an old BMW for the “24 Hours of Lemons” race; it promptly became his daily lemon. Sean was a supporter and patron of Black Acre, his brother Jordan’s brewery. Most of all, he was a loving brother, son, and friend to many.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 2nd at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel, where family and friends are invited to gather at 12:00 noon followed by a 2PM memorial service.
