Scott Winfield Gray, 58, of Noblesville, IN, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Riverview Hospital. Scott was born December 17, 1956 to the late Roger and Mary (Theoharis) Gray. He graduated from the University of Evansville in 1979 where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, and has worked in commercial lines property & casualty insurance since then. He was a Vice President and served as a Commercial Lines Producer for Gregory & Appel specializing in aviation and resort insurance. He worked for Commercial Union Insurance Company for 10 years prior to joining Gregory & Appel. Scott was a founder and board member of the Indianapolis Air Show, a benefit fund raiser for Riley Children's Hospital. He was a longtime member of the National Ski Area's Association and the Midwest Ski Area's Association where he served on the Board of Directors.
Scott is survived by his wife, Lee Ann (Gilbert) Gray; sister, Laura Ann Gray-Shultz (Jeff); nieces, Dana Shepard Shultz, Caroline A. Gore, Elizabeth Gore and C. Grace Gore; nephew, Ian Gray Shultz (Yulia); and his furry kids, Noodles, Lilly and Dory.
A memorial service celebrating Scott's life will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at St. Christopher Episcopal Church, 1402 West Main Street, Carmel, IN 46032. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
