Sandra Lee Simpson Corya “Sandy” age 84, of Noblesville passed away on February 14, 2024, following a long illness.

Born in Collingswood, New Jersey on November 13, 1939, she relocated to Indianapolis at the age of ten. Sandy is a 1957 graduate of Thomas Carter Howe High School.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, the late Jesse Andrew and Helen Bernadine Simpson, and her daughter, Melinda. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ronald “Ron”: her three children, Todd, Michelle, and Melissa; grandchildren Maria, Morgan (Alex), Karina (Eric), Molly (Andrew), Katia (Jacob), Anthony (Charlotte), Kate, Olivia (Gabo), and Sofia; four great grandchildren, Adam, Blake, Luke, and Michael; her brother, Jesse Andrew Simpson III, many extended family and close friends.

As an avid seamstress, Sandy blessed many children with her exquisite doll clothes, Halloween costumes, and memorable dance recital costumes.  She was always known as a very generous soul who loved children. Having been very devoted to her grandchildren, she spent much of her time attending soccer games, musicals, and dance recitals. Traveling to the beach was another favorite activity. She was a member at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on February 22, 2024, at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Carmel, 4780 East 126th Street. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the Alzheimer’s Association or Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre.
