Sandra Kay Noland (Harter) of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 78.
She was born on February 22, 1947, in New Castle, Indiana. She was united in marriage to Ewell "Ken" Noland in 2004, and they shared a loving marriage, creating beautiful memories for 21 years.
Sandra was known for her profound devotion to Jesus and her family. A truly unique expression of her love was the round blankets she knitted for loved ones; designed specifically for each recipient, these blankets were meant to feel like a big, warm hug.
Throughout her life, she was deeply devoted to her faith and family. She enjoyed serving as road manager at Ken’s Native American flute performances and pow wow celebrations, where she could often be found enjoying his music.
Sandra was proud of her career in law enforcement. She began her career at the FBI in Washington D.C. and later served as a fingerprint technician at the Indiana State Police. However, her most meaningful work came during her career with the Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) Police Department, which provided her with purpose and solace as she dealt with the passing of her son.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ewell "Ken" Noland, along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings.
She was preceded in death by her son and other beloved family members.
Sandra will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you share an act of kindness in Sandra's memory.
