Sandra Lee 'Lou' Thomas

Sandra Lee Hughes Thomas (Lou), 62, Indianapolis passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at I.U. Health West, Avon. She was born March 26, 1950 in Bishop, CA the daughter of Leva J. (Hall) and Carl A. Hughes. Sandra had worked 25 years at Parrish Manufacturing in quality control. She was a member of the VFW ladies auxiliary Post 98. Sandra is survived by her, daughter, Carla Brownlee, (Andrew); son, Carl Hughes; step-daughter, Marty Reuter, (Kevin); grandchildren, Andrew Brownlee and Bridgett and Tyler Ferris; her mother, Leva J. Hughes; sisters, Sheila Faires, Sharon Ortega, (Phillip), Shelley Stephens, (Greg), Stacy Stanjevich, (George), and Denise Hughes; brothers, Carl, Randy, (Kathy), Mark, (Carol), Brian, and Brett (Shannon) Hughes; 20 nieces and nephews; 31 great nieces and nephews and best friends, Beulah Ortega, Lena Marcum and Deb Hendrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Thomas; father Carl A. Hughes; brother-in-law, Gary Faires and a nephew, Michael Hughes. Services will be held 12:00 P.M. October 13, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Road. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be 2:00 until 8:00 P.M.
