Sandra Gearner Justice, 86, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024. Sandra was born on August 16, 1937 in Dallas, Texas to the late Aubrey and Lillie Gearner. She attended the University of Texas for one and a half years before marrying the love of her life, Brady Justice.
In March 1965, Sandra and Brady along with their 4 children moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where they have since resided. Sandra found much satisfaction with being a stay-at-home mom where she had time to be room mom at school and a Brownies troop leader. Sandra loved her family unconditionally and was a fierce protector of each. She also enjoyed her time with special friends playing tennis and then lunch. In her spare time, she would maintain the home lawn on Hedgerow with the “best equipment Brady could buy her”. (a family joke)
Sandra loved her church, Northside Baptist Church where she has been an active, faithful, and loyal member since moving to Indianapolis. She found joy serving in the children’s nursery, being a teacher in Sunday School and in Vacation Bible School.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Thursday, February 8 at Northside Baptist Church, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Entombment to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
Sandra was the widow of Brady Justice. She is survived by her children: David (Vicki) Justice, Michael Justice, Lori (David) Blankenship; grandchildren, Chad (Katie) Justice, Erin (Aaron) Nikou, Reagan (Nick) Logan, Jeremy Blankenship, Alison Blankenship (Nick Thomas) and 9 wonderful great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Justice and grandchildren, Whitney and Brandon Justice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northside Baptist Church. Please visit www.flannerbuchanan.com to sign the online guest register.
