Sandy Frankovitz was born in 1937 and raised in Kokomo, IN. She graduated from Indiana University and majored in Elementary Education. She enjoyed her teaching career for many years. Sandy moved to Indianapolis in 1959 and met her husband Jacob at a Jewish singles dinner dance. They were married in 1961. Sandy treasured her family and loved spending time with her son and daughter-in-law (Steve & Caryn), and two grandsons (Jacob & Noah) who she was deeply proud of and had a special relationship with.
After caring for her husband during his illness, she studied to become a nurse and loved caring for her many patients. Sandy had a great love for animals and had an impressive collection of teddy bears. Sandy moved to Hooverwood Living in 2020 and loved all the staff and participated in the many activities and outings.
