Sandra Arlene Thompson

Sandra Arlene Thompson, of Shelby, NC, passed away on Tuesday September 14, 2021, peacefully in her home.

Born in Marion County, Indiana on March 10, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Henry Carlyle and Vivian King Carlyle.  She was a homemaker and worked as a waitress at many locations including Knobby’s in Indianapolis for 25 years.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Fredrick Norman Thompson and her son Mark Allen Thompson.

She is survived by her children  Amy Thompson, Phyllis (Clark) Ross, Cynthia Shene, Teresa (James) Thorn, Lisa (Steven) Davis and Brian (Karen) Thompson, 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service at Washington Park East Cemetery Tuesday October 5^th at 3:00 PM.
