Sandie Christ

Sanda S. Christ (Cook), age 77, of New Palestine, Indiana went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 18, 2023. Sandie died peacefully at home holding hands with her husband, Louie. Sandie was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, on March 2, 1946, to Kenneth and Minnie (Brown) Cook.

Sandie was a graduate of Warren Central High School.  After graduation she was employed by the Indianapolis Police Department as a Cell Center Operator.  On February 12, 1973, Sandie was sworn in as a Police Officer and began her training with the Indianapolis Police Department Academy.  Sandie served as an Officer until her retirement on March 29, 1996.

Sandie is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Louie Christ; her children, Michael Horn, Jeffrey (Kay) Horn, Diana (Jerry) Wallace and Tony (Deb) Christ; along with nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Sandie also leaves behind her loving sister, Judy Branham and many nieces & nephews.  She will be missed dearly by all.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center, located at 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 11:00 AM, also at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center.

Entombment will be private.
