Sally Ann Schneider, 65, of Carmel, IN, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025.
Born on October 10, 1959, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of Karl and Katherine Jacobsen.
Sally was a beacon of kindness, laughter, and love. She lived selflessly, always putting others before herself. Her devotion to her family and friends was unmatched, and her generosity had a remarkable way of making everyone feel seen and appreciated.
Sally graduated from North Central High School and went on to attend Indiana University Bloomington, where she became a proud member of Zeta Tau Alpha while earning her degree from the Kelley School of Business. Her professional career was equally remarkable. At Warner Lambert, she became the youngest district manager in the company’s history. She later excelled at Bristol Myers, earning numerous national awards for her exceptional sales achievements.
Beyond her career, Sally’s greatest joy was her family and the relationships she built with those she loved. She loved her family unconditionally, treasured her dogs, and cherished the time spent socializing with her girlfriends. Sally’s mom and daughter were her best friends— whether enjoying Starbucks runs, shopping, or simply spending time together, they were inseparable. For 35 years, she was a proud Pacers season ticket holder and one of the Pacers’ biggest fans.
As her children grew, Sally dedicated her time to her family’s store, The Clothes Closet. Whether selecting merchandise, working with her coworkers, or connecting with her loyal customers, she poured her heart into every interaction. To Sally, the store wasn’t just a business—it was a community she nurtured with love and gratitude.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Kurt; her children, Jasen, Kristen, and Nick; and her brother, John, along with his wife, Katie, and their children, Allison, Alex, and Matthew. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Though we grieve her passing, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, compassion, and an extraordinary capacity for love. We find solace in knowing she is reunited with her parents, Karl and Katherine, who she held so dear.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 26, 2025, at 5:00-8:00pm at Feinstein’s at the Carmichael Hotel - 1 Carmichael Square, Carmel, IN 46032. Please wear casual attire.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to Sanctuary Indy, Inc., an organization that helps the chronically homeless and was close to Sally’s heart.
