Sally Harvey-Koelpin, 66, passed away on June 20th, 2025.
Sally was born in Berlin, Germany, and she attended North Central High School in Indianapolis. She went on to acquire a PhD in education from Indiana University. She was a passionate educator who proudly served at Indianapolis Public Schools, DePauw University, and Indiana Connections Academy.
Sally was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She was known for her fun and outgoing personality, her conviction in celebrating diversity and kindness, and her strong-willed approach to everyday life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger Koelpin; her mother, Clara Grace Harvey; and her father, William King Harvey. She is survived by her son, Bill, and his wife, Soren; her brother, Jim; and her sister, Corinna — all of whom will forever carry her love and legacy in their hearts.
A Memorial Service for Sally will be held on Monday, June 30th at Flanner Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Avenue. The gathering will be from 2-3pm, with the memorial service beginning at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in Sally’s memory to The Wheeler Mission or to The Julian Center.
