Salima Chowdry

84 years old, of Indianapolis, Indiana went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. She had a love for God, church, and her family, who she enjoyed spending quality time with. Salima enjoyed gardening, sewing, writing songs/poetry, and had an incredible fashion sense. She was known for her loving and praying spirit to all who knew her.
Salima is survived by her loving children, Tabassam Masih (Yaqub), Shabnam Chowdry, Lubna Popp (Bohn), Daud Chowdry (Judy); Ghazala Barkat and Family, 8 grandchildren, Zeeshan Aslam (Kelsey), Isaac Masih (Dayna), Lydia Hancock (Lucas), Elizabeth Kahl (Matthew), Ricky Tapia, Alia Chowdry, Miriam Chowdry, and Daniel Popp; 2 great-grandchildren, Emerson Masih and Devan Aslam.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Kundan Lal Chowdry and brother, Saleem Aslam.
Family and Friends may gather from 4:00am-8:00pm Friday, October 14, 2016 with Funeral Service Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 12:00pm in Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
