S. Samantha Culver

July 27, 1947 — June 9, 2024

Samantha (Sam) Culver left this earth and went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 9, 2024. Although this is a sad event for the family and friends; we rejoice that she is in a better place.

The last few years of her life, she suffered from the horrible disease of dementia. We will always cherish and embrace every moment of clarity that she had in her last years. Dementia took her memory, took her ability to walk, to communicate, and in the end her ability to eat BUT it did not take away the amazing memories we have of her and our love for her.

Sam was an incredible woman, full of kindness, tenderness, and love. She was an amazing wife to Gary, mother to her two children Troy and Trudy, and a friend to many others. She was truly an example of a Godly woman whose heart and compassion for others knew no boundaries nor knew no end.

She was born on July 27, 1947, in Peoria, Illinois to the parents of Donald and Verna (Doubet) Cameron. Sam had three sisters, Donna Danz, Mary Hanson, and Sondra Hill.

Sam worked in various positions throughout her career - beautician, volunteer at many organizations, office manager, but spent the majority of her time as a church secretary in Mesa AZ, Ruidoso New Mexico and in Oklahoma City.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Culver, children, Troy Culver and Trudy and Chris Stoner; grandchildren, Christina and Josiah Culver; Thomas, Faith, and Timothy Stoner; great grandchildren Aslynn and Zachary Culver and her sisters Donna Danz and Mary Hanson.

A Celebration of Life for Samantha Culver will be held at St Andrews Methodist Church in OKC on August 10, 2024.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE

Date: August 10, 2024

Time: 10 am

Place: St Andrews Methodist Church 2027 SW 119th Street OKC

Gary and Sam were married for 57 years, and they took a vow “to death do us part” and Gary faithfully fulfilled that vow until the very end. To see him lovingly care for her, hold her hand, and gently kiss her even in her last days/hours - it’s honorable and is the epitome of true love.

In loving memory of Samantha Culver
