Ryan Alexander Breman, age 13, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026. He was born on January 14, 2013, in Houston, Texas, and was the beloved son of Amy and Ben Breman.
Ryan lived a life filled with creativity and compassion. He will be deeply missed by his parents; his younger brother, Jack; his grandparents and extended family; and the classmates, neighbors, and many friends whose lives he touched.
An eighth grader at H.L. Harshman Middle School, Ryan was known for his kindness, humor, and ability to make others feel welcome. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, skiing, boating, sightseeing, and traveling. He dreamed of seeing the world and had already visited three other countries.
Ryan had an exceptional interest in machines and aviation. He spent hours building LEGO models and drawing all kinds of airplanes. Whenever a plane flew overhead, he always knew exactly what kind it was. His curiosity led him to explore aviation technology, including spending part of each summer at Indianapolis Ace Academy Aviation summer camp at IND Airport, where he even had the opportunity to help fly a real plane.
Ryan loved traveling with his family. Among his favorite memories was a trip to Germany with his close childhood friend, and he often talked about our next international adventure. He embraced opportunities to explore the world around him and inspired others to do the same.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Flanner Buchanan in Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46220. The service will be followed by a procession to Crown Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend and share memories as they honor Ryan’s remarkable life.
Those who wish to make a memorial contribution may do so to the NAYR (National Aviation Youth Resources) Foundation in Ryan’s memory. NAYR is a nonprofit organization that connects K–12 students from all cultural backgrounds with STEAM fields, with a focus on aviation, and supports them as they pursue their interests toward long-term careers.
Ryan’s family finds comfort in remembering him whenever an airplane flies overhead. His passion and curiosity defined who he was and will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
