Ruth Anna Roberts,
92, passed away on September 23, 2015. Ruth was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 9th, 1923 to William and Anna Preslan. She worked for the East Ohio Gas Company prior to raising her family. It was there she met her husband, Robert E. Roberts, and they married in 1949. She enjoyed 53 years with her loving husband until he passed away in 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert and Norman Preslan, her daughter-in-law, Maureen Roberts, and her grand-daughter Jennifer Davis.
Ruth was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Indianapolis and North Community Church in Columbus, Ohio. Her Christian faith was an important part of her life. Her favorite hymn was How Great Thou Art and she received much comfort from it in her last days.
Ruth is survived by her son, Dale Roberts of Morton, Illinois, daughter Becky Jauch (Tim) of Cincinnati, Ohio; and daughters, Nancy Walker (Gary), Barb Davis, and Ellen Barnes (Dave) of Indianapolis. She is also survived by her eleven grand-children and six great grand-children. When Ruth was not in the garden, she loved to spend time with all her family. There was nothing she loved more than cooking a family meal with her family around her table. She truly experienced a long life, very well-lived.
The family would like to thank Hoosier Village Health Care Center, her doctors, nurses, and caretakers for the excellent care Ruth received as a resident there.
