Ruth Imogene Freeland Shinn

Ruth Imogene (Freeland) Shinn 88 of Indianapolis, IN. passed away on March 8, 2013. She was born on February 22, 1925 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Homer E. and Claribel (Kirkham) Freeland. Ruth was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and the Leukemia Society. Survivors: children, Billie (John) Carr, Ralph (Marjorie) Shinn, Kevin Shinn, Thomas (Stephanie) Shinn, Veronica Shinn, James (Cynda) Shinn, William A. (Shannon) Shinn, Jr., Justina Wilmont, Mary (Jimmy) Shields and John (Nancee) Shinn; 24 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; niece, Jeannine Downey and cousin, Jerry (Judy) Clevenger. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Arnold Shinn, Sr.; son, Mark Edward Shinn and grandson, Ryan Shinn. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – Floral Park 425 N. Holt Road. Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 10:30 am at Flanner and Buchanan. Burial, Floral Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society.
