Ruth Helen (Long) Tolson

Ruth Helen (Long) Tolson, died peacefully February 18, 2016 at 89blessed years old. She was surrounded by her children and family andgraced them all with her love. Ruth was born in St. Louis Missouri onFebruary 3, 1927. Preceded in death by her loving husband John and herparents, William and Cecilia and her grandson, John III and siblings, Evelyn,Bill, and Jack. Ruth is survived by her children, Cheryl Conner, ConnieModglin, John Tolson, Jr., Joan Smock and Jean Vanover. Ruth was blessedwith a great legacy of 11 grandchildren, Jolie, Jeff, Michael, Travis, Tina,Christopher, John, III, Melissa, Emily, Jessica and Jacob and 15 greatgrandchildren. Ruth traveled with her husband John in the Marines forover 20 years and was an avid gardener and music lover her beautiful smilewill be forever in our hearts and of all those she met.

We will miss her and her quick wit and humor, along withher sparkling blue eyes.

Visitation will be 11 am until service time at 1 pm Saturday,February 27 at Flanner andBuchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd. Burial will follow in Floral ParkCemetery.
