Ruth Bolin

Ruth H. Bolin 93, Indianapolis, passed away January 29, 2013. She was born December 22, 1919, in Gilberts, Illinois, the daughter of the late Henry N. and Lilah (Peterson) Hansen. She married Carlton L. Bolin on August 8, 1942, in Jacksonville, Florida. He preceded her in passing on November 22, 2007, after 65 years of marriage. She attended Union Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, and traveling. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. Ruth is survived by her five daughters, Kathleen (Harry) Mosher, Valerie (Rino) Zanotto, Juanita (fiancé Andy Leach) Sutton, Lorraine (partner Gary Purkey) Surdi, Sheila (Ray) Lefevra; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Schoen and Joyce Naden, and a brother Henry "Sonny" Hansen. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 East Broad Ripple Avenue. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
