Ruth Anne Kelly

Ruth Anne Spicer Kelly 67, of Westfield, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away December 21, 2010. She was born on January 12, 1943, to Oliver and Dorothea Spicer. Ruth Anne has been an active member of Church at the Crossing for the past 4 years. Prior to that, she attended West Morris Street Free Methodist Church. She was a member of Lydia’s Ladies, and was training for Stephen’s Ministries. Ruth Anne graduated from Vennard College with a Bachelor’s Degree in education. She taught students with IPS for 16 years with a focus on helping with special education. She is survived by her daughter, Dorijean Kelly; brother, Kenneth (Karen) Spicer; sisters, Rebecca “Becky” (Walter) Glick, Rita (Alton) Mobley; and 4 nieces and 4 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation for Ruth Anne will be held on Monday, December 27, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Carmel, 325 E. Carmel Drive, a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the American Bible Society, 1865 Broadway, New York, NY 10023.
