Ruth Ann Kurrasch

Ruth Pich Kurrasch 80, of Indianapolis, died, September 29, 2011. She was a claim representative at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 22 years, retiring in 1988. Ruth was a member of the American Legion Post 497 and past secretary of their auxiliary. Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chester, parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and numerous friends. She is survived by her children Karen Wagner, Michele (Joe) Amrhein, Brian, Scott (Leigh) and Todd Kurrasch; 9 grandchildren, sisters Rita Babbitt, Bernice Roberts and Mary Finefield and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 2 to 6 pm at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Speedway. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 3, 2011 at 10 am at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, of which she was a charter member. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Southern Care Hospice.
