Mrs.Ruth Aline Banks was born on Dec.14, 1929 to the late Steven and Ardelia Hutcherson; and was a long time member of Kingsley Terrace Church of Christ in Indianapolis.
Ruth received her education from Chrispus Attucks High School and was employed with R.C.A for a long time before she began working as a seamstress for Richmond Brothers Clothing Stores.
From there, she successfully established her own alterations business called, Stitchmasters Alterations located at the 46th and Keystone area in Indianapolis and then later moved the business to 49th and College Ave. in Indianapolis. She built a loyal following for 30 plus years at that location. She maintained the wardrobe for local t.v personalities such as Todd Wallace when he was with channel 6 . She also contracted alteration services for the local theater houses; and a large number of individuals all over the city of Indianapolis.
Ruth was usually the life of the party. Her personality was that of a fun loving spirit and her contagious sense of humor drew people to her.
Ruth Aline Banks, departed this life on Wednesday October 15,2014 at the age 84.
She leaves to cherish precious memories: her sons: Lester Banks, Randy Banks (deceased) and E.A.Banks, daughter inlaw; Patty Banks. sisters; Martha smith and Betty Staples. Grand children; Alison and McKenzie banks.
