Russell M Morgan

Russell Morgan of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018.  Russ is survived by his wife of 56 years Yvonne, daughters Janet (Wayne) Hargette, Pamela (John) Fisher, Cindy Morgan, and grandchildren Brendan and Alyssa Housman and Scott and Jacob Fisher.

Russ was born on March 3, 1939 in Indianola, PA to Raymond and Alberta Blank Morgan.   He was preceded in death by his brothers James and Donald Morgan.  Surviving are his sisters Jayne (Ronald) Gustafson, Joyce (Wayne) Harris, Ginger Morgan, Morgan O’Dell and a brother Raymond Morgan.

After graduating from High School in Creighton, PA, Russ served three years in the US Army and later attended Rutgers University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.   During his engineering career he worked for Union Carbide-Praxair.   Russ was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and Bible study educator.

Russ was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who you could always count on for advice, love and support.  His memory will be cherished.

Russ thanks his friends, neighbors, and his St Pius X community for their support during his illness.   He and his family would also like to thank Doctors Mulherin, Born, and Tigges and their staff for the care he received, as well as St. Vincent Hospice for their care.

Visitation will be at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, May 22 at St Pius X Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.    In Lieu of flowers please make all donations to St Pius X Church or the American Cancer Society.
