Russell Heilwagen

Russell W. Heilwagen 89 from Indianapolis, In. passed away peacefully Saturday August 4, 2012. He was born March 9, 1923 in Wayne, Neb. Russ was the son of William A. and Eugenia Anderson Heilwagen, who proceeded him in death. He married Audrey R. Juette on December 15, 1945 in Quincy, Ill. Russell worked for Peerless Pump 42 years retiring as a tool maker. He was a member of the K of C, Council #437 and St. Matthew Parish. Russ was an avid gardener who "manicured" his yard. He loved playing games with his family especially dominos. He is surived by his wife of 66 years Audrey , two daughters Sharon (Tim) Donohue, Mary Jo (Lee) Tarvin. Six Grandchildren Jack (Allison)Sutherland, Jason Sutherland, Matthew (Maggie) Donohue, Adam, Nicholas, Sarah Tarvin. Two Step grandchildren, Noel (Rusty) Tillman, Marietta, Ga. and Tom Tarvin, Winter Park, Fl. Three Great Grand Children, Aspen, Olivia and Sam Donohue. Two Step Great Grandchildren, Stephanie, Chicago, Il. Joshua Tillman, Phoenix, Az. He was preceded in death by a daughter Jean Ellen Sutherland, three brothers, Joseph Heilwagen, of Ursa, Il. Robert Heilwagen, of Indianapolis, IN. Jack Heilwagen of Quincy, Il. Two sisters Alice (Earl) Dedart , Helen (Virgil) Lerch both of Quincy, Il. Viewing will be Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 5-8 pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at St. Mathews Catholic Church 4100 E. 56th Street with calling 1 hour prior where he was a member.
