Mr. Rush Jay Harmon, Jr., 96, of Whitestown, IN was called home to our Lord on Friday, June 04, 2021 in Gilbert, AZ. Rush was born in Indianapolis, IN on November 23, 1924 to Rush Jay and Josephine Eliza (Hollingsworth) Harmon Sr. Rush graduated from Zionsville High School class of 1942. He was a mechanic for Rock Island Refinery where he retired in 1983. Rush was also an avid farmer and enjoyed growing crops. Rush was a member of the Salem Methodist Church since he was 16 years old, and was a member of the Zionsville Masonic Lodge where he was the Past Master of the Lodge, Scottish Rite and he has been a member of the Train Collectors Association since 1972. Rush is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Jeanette Michael Harmon and his oldest son Michael Klepfer. Rush is survived by his wife Ruth Hauff Kitron Harmon, his oldest son’s wife Terry Klepfer and their three children Michael Jr, Karen and Kay, his second eldest son John Klepfer, his wife Debbie and their two children Jason and Courtney Klepfer and his youngest son Jay Harmon and his wife Jennifer Harmon, several grandchildren and his younger brother Meredith Harmon. Calling will be held on Thursday June 17th at Flanner Buchanan-Zionsville from 4 to 8 pm with a Masonic Service held during the visitation at 7:30 pm on Thursday. Additional calling will be held on Friday June 18 at Salem Methodist Church from 1-2 pm with funeral services will be held at 2 pm. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Zionsville, Indiana.
