Rudolph (Rudy) Karl Peters, 88, went home to Jesus on January 25, 2014. Rudy was born on February 22, 1925 in Kiel Germany. Among his various jobs while in Germany he worked the United States Armed Forces Motorpool. In 1953 he came to the United States, and settling in New Jersey began working as a pastry chef for St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, retiring as a cold production manager after 41 years of service. Rudy and his wife Christa raised their family in Denville, a town they loved.
In 2011 Rudy and Christa moved to Fishers, Indiana. Rudy leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 59 years Christa (Lindhoff); son Ralph (Debra) of Chesepeake, VA; daughter Christine Gneiding (Glenn) of Fishers; grandson SPC Aaron Rudolph Gneiding US Army Ft Hood Tx; granddaughter, Alyssa Christa Gneiding, Fishers and his Cairn Terrier, Heidi. He was preceded by his parents Karl and Sophie (Marwitz) Peters; sister Lydia (William) Rauschenberger.
Rudy touched many lives and the world is a better place because of him "Well done, good and faithful servant" A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church 11441 Hague Rd, Fishers, IN 46038 with Fr John Keifer officiating on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. Interment immediately following at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rudy's memory to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH
