Ruby P. Hutchinson

Mrs. Ruby Pauline Hutchinson, born April 21, 1925 to Mr. & Mrs. Abel and Annie Ray Williams in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Preceeded in death are sisters Lois, Lila, Eunice, brother Henry, and survived by her baby brother Van Wilton Williams. Ruby graduated High school in 1944. Shortly after , she was employed at a store selling shoes, where a very young, very persistent Army 2LT Lloyd C. Hutchinson would not take no for an answer. He knew at 1st sight he had to get to know this Beautiful lady. He told her that " With a name like Ruby"... you have to be a jewel of a woman!!! They were married in 1944. They were happily married 40 years, until the death of her soul mate in 1984. Ruby and husband Lloyd were faithful members of Crooked Creek Baptist church for many years until his death in 1984, she then attended Elizaville Baptist church, until living with daughter Linda and became a member of Marwood Baptist church, led by brother Paul George and family whom she dearly loved. With their true love for the Lord Jesus, and for each other, came a family that is now 3 generations and growing. Ruby was many, many things. She was Loving, Caring, Compassionate beyond words. A devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, A prayer Warrior stronger than anyone we ever knew. A true friend to all. If you had 2 legs or 4, she loved you "Unconditionally". She never had met a stranger or a stray animal in her life. Her greatest loves were the LORD and her family. She truly cherished both. There were 3 children from this marriage, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and countless numbers of animals. Linda Hutchinson/Merrifield married Bob Merrifeld , they had 2 children, (grandson) Timothy Merrifield and (granddaughter) Regina Merrifield/ Rongey. Gary Hutchinson married Debbie and had 4 children, (grandson) Jason Hutchinson, (granddaughters) Jaime Hutchinson, Jenna Hutchinson/ Saxton and baby Angel Anne. Sylvia Hutchinson/ Haus married Ronnie Haus and they had 3 sons,(grandsons) Jeremy, Joshua and Justin. Joshua and Kristina Haus have 2 children, (great-granddaughter Emily) and (great-grandson Austin). Jaime Hutchinson has 2 children, (great-grandson Marcus) and (great-granddaughter Natalie). Jason and Jill Hutchinson have 1 son (great-grandson Jacob). Regina Merrifield married Wade Rongey and they have 3 children, ( great granddaughters Caitlin Merrifield, Jessica Smith), ( great-grandson Wyatt Rongey). Tim and Mindy Merrifield have 6 children, (great-granddaughters Renee and Amanda Merrifield, Anne and Mandy Anderson) (great-grandsons Alex Merrifield and baby on the way). To sum up the life of Ruby Hutchinson in a few sentences is impossible, but if one had to, it could simply say this. GOD, Wonderful Savior Jesus, Family, Love EVERYONE, Forgive, Cherish, LIVE, Laugh, Be kind to one another. " The Golden Rule" in all of life. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 2 PM at Marwood Baptist Church 3940 Mann Road Indianapolis, IN with visitation there from 12PM. She will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery following the service. Memorial gifts may be directed to the Humane Society because of her affection to any animal or the Marwood Baptist Church to aid under privileged children another concern of this wonderful loving woman.
