Ruben Angel Hernandez, 53, of Indianapolis, passed away July 18, 2026. Ruben was born in Chicago IL on September 27, 1972, to his mother Juanita Hernandez

Ruben worked as an Inventory specialist at US Foods for 4.5 years. Ruben was a strong, kind, and wonderfully grumpy man who loved his family in his own unique way. He was always willing to help those he cared about. Ruben enjoyed the simple things in life, like a cold Miller Lite, spending time around the BBQ grill, and making memories with family and friends. His sense of humor, honest personality, and unmistakable stubborn streak made him unforgettable to everyone who knew him. Though he may no longer be with us, the love, laughter, and countless memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him

Ruben was preceded in death by his mother Jaunita Hernandez and his sister Elizabeth Ponce.

Ruben is survived by his beautiful wife Lucia Hernandez and his sweet children: Justice Hernandez, Angel Castilleja, Reyna Hernandez, Aleah Hernandez.

Friends may call from 12:00 pm -2pm pm Friday July 24, 2026, with funeral service to follow at 2pm all to take place at Flanner Buchanan Funeral Service – Memorial Park.
