Ross Cox

Ross E. Cox Ross E. Cox, 82, passed away Thursday December 27, 2012. Ross was born September 4, 1930, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Jewel Hudson Cox and Alpha Cox. Ross attended George Washington High School and went on to attend IUPUI and Butler University. He served in the Army during the Korean War and retired as a Sargent in 1954. He then went on to work as an Engineering Supervisor for Ford Motor Company for many years before retiring in 1989. He was a very devoted and loving father, a fan of football, a member of the American Legion and Lawrence Methodist Church. Ross is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Roselyn, and his three sisters Mary Johnson, June Callaway, and Barbara Stone. He is survived by his sister, Alberta Newman, sons; David Cox and William Cox, daughters; Theresa Cox (California), Lisa Wintler-Cox (Maryland), Elizabeth Griffith (California), and his granddaughter Zoe Wintler-Cox (Maryland). Services for Ross will be held on Thursday January 3, 2013 at 3pm, with visitation from 1-3pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens- Good Shepherd Chapel, 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis.
