Rosemary Quinn Thomas, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away January 25, 2014. Rosemary was born March 1, 1933 in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of Harry and Lena (Burck) Quinn. She was a bookkeeper for Roscoe Turner Aviation for 8 years and an Accountant for 35 years for F.E. Gates Marble and Tile. She was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Central Indiana Bicycling Association since 1974 and served as treasurer for 35 years. One of her many accomplishments was bicycling from Los Angeles, CA to Boston, MA when she was 70 years old. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Walter Thomas.
Rosemary is survived by her sisters, Kathryn Oberlies and Harriett Pagels; a brother, David Quinn; step-daughters, Connie Miner, Jere McCullough and Jan Brown; nieces, Karen Walsko, Kelly Johantgen, Robin Croft, and Julie Oberlies; nephews, Don, Bruce and Jeff Oberlies.
Visitation will be held 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan -Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, 46229. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Flanner and Buchanan-Memorial Park with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.
