Rose Mary Mathias

Rose Mary Mathias, 96, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014. She was born July 7, 1917 in Celestine, Indiana to the late Edward and Mary Ann (Pieper) Merkel. Rose Mary was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in Indianapolis. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Mathias and son David Mathias. Surviving is her daughter Kathy (Michael) DeGroff; grandchildren Chris (Toni Neely) DeGroff; Katie (Ford) Crosby; Marcus (Natalie) DeGroff; great-grandchildren Gracie, Avery Held and Maxwell, Finnian, Weston Crosby along with Baby DeGroff that is expected to arrive next week. Visitation will be held Monday at St. Monica Catholic Church from 9-11am, with a Mass of Christian Burial being held at 11am.
