Rose Marie Greer Stoia

August 11, 1940 — September 25, 2012

Rose Stoia born in Aledo, Illinois on August 11, 1940, passed away in Indianapolis on September 25, 2012. Rose travelled widely throughtout the United States. She wrote educational nutrition books for children. She was a co-author of many journal articles, and contributed to the nutrition book for the Seventh-Day Adventist Dietetic Association, as well, as serving as an officer for the Dayton and Ohio Dietetic Associations. She worked on numerous area-wide committees in health and nutrition education. Rose's family, her children and grandchildren, and husband gave her immense pleasure to which she gave each quality time. Her love for them was beyond measure. Har parents and sisters and their children were very important to her, and getting a chance to be with them was a source of inner renewal. She loved music, flowers. birds, butterflies, and she loved to point them out on natyre walks or travelling in a car. She was a team member all the way. An example was her co-research and dissertation with her husband, Joseph, in 1982. Friends and loved ones may attend the viewing at Flanner and Buchanan from 4-8 pm, Saturday, September 29, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan - Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis. The Internment will he held Monday at 10 am, same location. In lieu of flowers, send donations to St. Francis Hospice House, 8111 S. Emerson Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46237.
