Rose Balogh

Rose Balogh, 89, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on October 20, 2014. She was born on May 7, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Koran and Vartuie (Melkonian) Rahanian. Rose is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Pete Rahanian, and husband Louis Balogh. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Balogh(George Millspaugh) Rene Balogh ( Michael Hinchion) and Terri Carroll, sister Ida Rahanian Evranian, five grandchildren, Max, Madeline, Harrison, Peyton, Luke and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose proudly served her country on the home front during WWII as a riveter on B-24 airplane wings. She was a real "Rosie the Riveter". She was a spunky, fun loving, generous spirit who loved to cook and entertain friends and family and will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street where a service will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery.
