Ronald Eugene Viles
76, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025. He was born to Eugene and Mary Viles and was preceded in death by his beloved wife of what would have been 53 years, Brenda, in 2021.
Ronald proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, from October 1968 to September 1970, and later as a member of the National Guard. As a Jump Master, he earned the respect of his peers and instilled a sense of duty and service in those around him.
He leaves behind three daughters: Tammie, Jennifer, and Angela; two sisters, Linda and Diana; and his mother, Mary, who still holds the family close. Ronald’s legacy lives on in his seven grandchildren: Katherine, Amanda, Justeen, Megan, Noah, Kameron, and Kylie, as well as his six great-grandchildren: Mckenna, Daizie, Kase, Rylo, Kora, and Delanie.
Ronald's life was marked by his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his country, and his ability to always put others before himself. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A private memorial service will be held for family and friends Monday, December 1, 2:30pm to 4:30pm, services to follow.
