Ronald Silence Sr.

Ronald D. Silence Sr., 77, of Indianapolis, passed away December 23rd, 2025. He was born on September 8th, 1948, in Indianapolis to parents Mary Belle and Jackson Silence.

Ronnie grew up in Indy and graduated from Arsenal Tech high school. A very hard worker, Ronnie was a Union Carpenter most of his life.

In 1968, he married the love of his life, Patricia. They shared 57 wonderful years together. Ronnie and Pat were valued members of First Assembly of God Church, and Ronnie served as an usher for several years.

Ronnie was a loving gentleman who adored his family more than anything. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great

grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time in nature, hunting and fishing. Ronnie was passionate about helping others, whether they were family or

not. He was a devoted family man and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Ronnie is survived by his wife Patricia; his son Ronald Silence Jr., daughter Patricia Postletheweight; grandchildren Ronald Harvey, Destiny Harvey, Christina Silence, Patrick Havenga; great grandchildren Jade, Dante, Riley, Caleb, Remington, Shelby, and Naomi.

He is preceded in death by his parents Mary Belle and Jackson Silence; sibling Mike and Chuckie

Visitation for Ronnie will be Friday January 2nd at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 10-12. His funeral will begin at 12pm. He will be

laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
