Ronald Lewis Richardson was born to J.W. and Mary Frances Warfield Richardson on January 6, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended IPS schools #4 and #87 and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School, Class of 1966.
Ronnie served his country in the United States Army. He was deployed to the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1969. He was a Purple Heart recipient.
Ronnie was joined in wedlock to Valorie Hale in 1971. Together they have a son, Ronald D. Richardson.
Ronnie was employed by General Motors for 40 years and he retired in 2006.
Ronnie loved coaching his son in football, baseball, and basketball and traveling to cheer him on at his track meets, playing poker with his friends, bowling, and visiting with friends and family. He enjoyed barbecuing for his family on the holidays, making the best ribs, tips, and sauce.
Ronnie professed his hope in Christ in 2015 at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church.
Ronnie transitioned on Friday, June 7th, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James Otis Richardson. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Valorie, his son Ron (Sheri), sister Jacqueline Richardson Brooks (Lonnie) and nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
