Ronald Lee Ratliff

Ronald Lee Ratliff, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away at his home on September 15, 2025. He was born on June 19, 1951, in Indianapolis.

Ronald worked in Maintenance at IUPUI, where he helped keep campus facilities running smoothly. He was a graduate of Howell High School and was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.

In his free time, Ronald enjoyed cheering on the Indianapolis Colts, relaxing on his porch, watching movies, sharing meals with loved ones, and hitting the open road on his nephew’s motorcycle.

Ronald is survived by his sister Gloria Ratliff, and extended list of loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents Robert M. Ratliff and Gwendolyn L. (Hunt) Ratliff, and his siblings Larry Ratliff, Owen Ratliff, Robert Ratliff, Gail Ratliff, Glenda Ratliff and Gay Ratliff.

He will be remembered for his dedication to work, love for family, and simple joys in life.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM, with interment at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 East Washington Street, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society, in memory of Ronald Ratliff.
