Ronald Lee Colquitt

Ronald L. Colquitt, 77, of Indianapolis has gone home to join theLord. Ron was born on February 24, 1939 to Jack and Gertrude Colquitt in OakPark, Illinois. He grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and moved to Indianapolisin 1963. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce. Ron is alsosurvived by his three children, Alan, Shawn, and Jason, his ten grandchildren,and his siblings Johnnie, Donnie, Bonnie, and Connie.

Ron was an entrepreneur, small business owner, and part-timewriter and blogger. In high school, he held the record for running the mile inthe state of Florida–a record that stood for 27 years. He later earned acertificate from the Moody Bible Institute as part of his scholarly studies ofthe old and new testaments.

Visitation will be held at 11:00am at the Geist location of theFlanner and Buchanan-Geist, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis, IN, 46236, with theservice at 1:00pm. Ron's church life was enormously important to him. Thus, inlieu of flowers, donations can be made to Geist Community Church.
