Ronald Eugene Woodward

Woodward, Ronald Eugene 75, Indianapolis, died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born on December 5, 1936 in Indianapolis to the late William Archie Woodward and Bonieta E. Chilton Klotche. Ron attended Purdue University where he studied Engineering. He worked for Inland Container for 25 years and then retired in 2005 from the Packaging Corporation of America. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Sandeep Kukreja for his friendship and excellence in care to Ron during his illness. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Dianne Woodward; son Kerry (Shawn) Woodward; grandchildren Stacy Mitchell, Michael Woodward, Teresa Groce, and Kera Woodward; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers Bill Woodward and Tom (Nancy) Woodward; and half sister Pat. He was preceded in death by his infant son Kent Eugene Woodward, his parents, and his half sister Claire. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1 PM Monday, July 30 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis. Private entombment will take place in Washington Park East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
