Ronald Dusendschon

Ronald M. Dusendschon, passed away February 17, 2014. He was born January 3, 1926 in Indianapolis to Carlotta McCormick and Maurice E. Dusendschon, who preceded him in death. Ron attended John Strange, Broad Ripple High School where he received a full De Pauw Scholarship. His love of airplanes and cars changed his future. He attended Purdue University. He was married June 21, 1946 at Unity Methodist Church to Leona R. Edwards. They moved to San Diego, California, where he worked at Ryan and Consolidated Vultee. They moved back to Indianapolis where he worked for 43 years at Broad Ripple and Bacon US Post Office. He worked part time for 35 years at Hedlund's Ace Hardware. His love of automobiles and airplanes consumed his life and retirement. Ron was a member of the Model A Ford Club and Vintage Thunderbird Club. Ron was an avid reader, and a brilliant student. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Noel and Alan Dusendschon, and step-granddaughter, Melissa Anderson. He is survived by his wife and children, Ronald M. Dusendschon II (Lorraine Schrader) and Pamela Dusendschon; granddaughter, Heather (Jason) Webber and great grandsons Channing and Grayson Webber, a very special niece Sandra Jo Wiggins, Bakersfield, California and niece Angela D. Davis, step-grandchildren, Cynthia Ramadan and James Anderson. The family would like to thank Dr. Scott Sharp and Dr. Dale Theobald, and a very special thank you to Heather and husband Jason Webber who made his life livable to the end. Thanks for caring so much. Visitation will be held Friday from 4-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd W Drive and funeral services will be Saturday at 2pm, with calling one hour prior.
