Ronald "Dave" B Martin

Ronald B. (Dave) Martin of Greenfield, IN passed away on June 1, 2021 at Springhurst Health Campus. He was born June 15, 1931. Son of the late Charles and Arizona Martin of Moundsville, WV. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann (Michael) Martin and brother, Jack Jackson of Moundsville, WV. Surviving are his sister, Helen Conley of Martinsburg, WV; brother-in-law, Greg (Shirley) Michael of Paden City, WV. Nieces, Marcia (Dana) Davis of Bentonville, AR; Becky (Shawn) Williamson of Grove City, OH and nephew, Greg (Randi) Michael of Parkersburg, WV. Great-nephews, Justin Davis of Bentonville, AR; Blake Davis of Bloomington, IL; Ben Davis of Fayetteville, AR; Sean (Madison) Michael of Mineral Wells, WV; Evan (Shayla) Michael of Parkersburg, WV; and Seth (Emily) Williamson of Jackson, OH. Great-nieces, Amanda (Chris) Ware of Parkersburg, WV and Hayley (Taylor) Vincent of Canal Winchester, OH. Great-great nieces and nephews, Eliana, Elias and Emry Kay Michael; Isaiah Ware; Liam and Levi Michael; and Harper and Hutch Williamson. Nieces and nephews were all very close to “Uncle Dave”, who had no children of his own. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Serena East, his Senior Helper and dear friend, for her years of care and dedication to him. Dave was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Southeastern church of Christ. He was a graduate of West Virginia University and an avid Colt’s fan. Dave retired from Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis, IN and was a member of the Indiana Sheriff’s Association. He was a pistol instructor for the NRA and traveled with it extensively. Friends will be received on Thursday, June 3rd from 2:00-6:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN. Also, on Monday, June 7th from 12:00-2:00 pm at Jarvis Williams Funeral Home, 309 N. 4th Ave. #11, Paden City, WV. There will be a family graveside gathering following Monday’s viewing at 3:00 pm at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1020 5th St., New Martinsville, WV.
