Ronald Anthony Angarola
Born May 1st, 1933 in Chicago, son of Frank and Nancy (Izzi) Angarola, brother to Elaine and Robert passed away on April 18th, 2013. Resided in Carmel, Indiana and formerly South Holland, Illinois.
Married 56 years and is survived by his loving wife Darlene (Hawkins) Angarola, and dearest daughters Laurie (Richard Bomba) of Orland Park, Illinois, Karen (Frank Cosmas) of Carmel, Indiana, beloved grandfather "Pa" to Christina and Phillip Cosmas and Erika and Ellen Bomba.
Ron proudly served in the U.S. Army/Korea and was honorably discharged in 1954. He enjoyed a successful career of 43 years in International Trade during which time he represented World Port LA, Port of Longview, WA and The Port of Miami.
He was a member and Past President/Chairman of the Board Midwest Foreign Commerce Club Chicago, Director/Ocean Freight Agents Chicago, and International Trade Club-Traffic Club of Chicago.
Through the years Ron enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and building his beautiful birdhouses, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and grandchildren.
The family extends its heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses that got to know and care for Ron.
Memorial services will be 12 noon Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Vincent Hospice or the American Heart Association.
